EXCERPT: "  Serious injection-site reactions, including abscesses that required surgical treatment up to debridement, have been reported in patients given naltrexone (Vivitrol) injections for alcoholism prevention.   ...  The FDA said data indicated that there is a variable depth of subcutaneous tissue dependent on the gender and weight of the patient.
